Recently,"Entertainment Weeky" of KBS (Korean Broadcast System) had an unsually long special on Big Bang's comback with a highly negative tone. The point is, their comback is too early. Last year, Big Bang's Daesung was involoved in a car accident that resulted a death casualty, alhtough the court has concluded that Deasung was not responsible for the drunken driver's death. "Entertainment Weekly" interviewed the victim's mother and questioned whether it is the right time for Big Bang to come back. Big Bang;s fans serverely criticized KBS for its "unfair" coverage. KBS's approach makes a stratk contrast with that of SBS, another major TV broadcast company of Korea,which invited Big Bang members to several of their variety shows and had them talk about thier recent feelings about the past mistakes and the recent comeback. Netizens say that the uncomfortable relasionship between KBS and YG, Big Bang's management compan,y goes back to 2010 when the two parties had conflict over the length of the group's comeback special on Music Bank, KBS's main music show. Since then, YG artists appeared neither in KBS's music shows nor in their end of the year music awards. KBS officials denied the accusation, sayting that "the report was not exclusively pointing at Big Bang. It just asked the general question of how soon a celebrity who created a social issue can comeback." It is expected that the uncomfortable relationship between the two will contiue at least for a while.
