KARA’s “STEP” tops a chart on a Japanese mobile site

KARA’s “STEP” topped a ringtone chart on a Japanese mobile site only a day after it was released.

The Japanese version of “STEP,” which was released on February 22, ranked number one on a daily ringtone chart of Japan’s the biggest mobile site Recochoku only a day after it was released, beating TVXQ (ranked No. 3) and AKB48 (ranked No. 8).

The ringtone chart of Recochoku is a comprehensive chart that combines all rankings from eight major mobile sites and Smartphone application download stores. KARA’s “Go Go Summer” and “Winter Magic,” which were released in Japan last year, ranked first on the weekly chart of this site, and the Korean version of “STEP,” which was released in last September, also ranked first.

As this was achieved only a day after it was released, many domestic and overseas fans are also paying attention to the ranking of “STEP” on the weekly chart.

KARA are going to have an Asian tour, including five cities in Japan, from April.
