Singers from SM Entertainment will attend the ’2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards’ (2011 MAMA).
Mnet Media held a press conference for the ’2011 MAMA’ on the 1st in Seoul.
Sin Hyung Kwan, the director of Mnet said, “Singers from SM Entertainment have been appearing on M Countdown since this year after a conflict was settled.”
He added, “MAMA is for the artists who have been working hard this year. We will invite as many singer as we can.”
SM Entertainment was in a conflict with Mnet so singers from SM didn’t appear on Mnet’s MAMA last year. As a result, Mnet had to hold the awards ceremony without SNSD, Super Junior and BoA.
But this year, the conflict seems to be settled because singers from SM, including Super Junior and SNSD have been appearing on M Countdown.
SM Entertainment also said they will attend the ’2011 MAMA’. A spokesperson for SM said, “We haven’t decided which group will attend the ceremony yet because of their schedules. But we will attend the ceremony.”
’2011 MAMA’ will be held on November 29 in Singapore. Many singers from all over Asia will attend the ceremony and the ceremony will air live in nineteen countries, including Europe and the United States.
