JYJ’s Kim Jun Su is casted in the musical Elizabeth.
Kim plays “the death” of an irresistible charm in the musical Elizabeth which opens in February next year.
The death falls in love with Elizabeth who is desperate for freedom. It seduces Elizabeth who suffers under the restriction of her royal family saying that he is the only one who can give her the real freedom she wants.
Kim plays the death with Ryu Jung Han and Song Chang Yi. In October of 2010, Kim has already earned a reputation by singing a song of the musical Elizabeth at his musical concert Levay with Friends.
After his concert, representatives of musical industries strongly suggested Kim to play the death inElizabeth. Kim has already created a stir in his previous musicals of Mozart! and Tears O Heaven.
Kim’s role, in particular, is a character which transcends sex and age. In the musical performances abroad, actors in their 20s to 50s played the character, so it is drawing attention on how the character would be featured when it’s played by Kim Jun Su in his 20s, Song Chang Yi in his 30s, and Ryu Jung Han in his 40s.
Moreover, the posters of the character are published. They show a dreamlike atmosphere to fit the character transcends both sexes, life and death.
The musical Elizabeth will be performed at Blue Square of Samsung Electronics Hall from February 9 to May 13.
