BIG BANG COMES BACK IN AUGUST IN “GD&TOP” UNIT… SHOOTING MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SONG NOW
August’s new song for BIG BANG’s “MADE” project will be released in a different format. A new song of “GD&TOP”, one of the BIG BANG’s unit groups, will be unveiled first.
BIG BANG has been carrying out “MADE” album project since May. In May, first single “M” was released with two songs “LOSER” and “BAE BAE”, to herald BIG BANG’s comeback to the music scene after three years of absence. In June, second single “A” with “BANG BANG BANG” and “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” was released. In July, third single with “IF YOU” and “SOBER” was released. Fourth single “E” will be unveiled in August and finally in September, complete album “MADE” with new songs and all the songs released this year will be released.
BIG BANG has unveiled new songs of “MADE” project as a complete team with all the five members. However, in August, new songs will be released by “GD&TOP” unit, in the “MADE” project. Of course, there still is a high possibility that a new song of all the BIG BANG members will also be unveiled in August.
According to music video insiders, G-Dragon and T.O.P are now shooting the music video for their new song. G-Dragon and T.O.P are BIG BANG’s leading rappers and the unit drew a big popularity with “HIGH HIGH” released in their first full-length album in December, 2010. So fans are paying keen attention to what new song and performance the unit will present this time.
Meanwhile, BIG BANG’s world tour is going on recently, and the team’s concert will be held on the 25 in Malaysia.

WHY WILL BIG BANG RELEASE AUGUST’S NEW ALBUM ON THE 5TH AND NOT ON THE 1ST OF THE MONTH?
BIG BANG who has been releasing new songs on the 1st of every month in their “MADE” series will release August’s new songs on the 5th of the month.
“E”, the last album of “MADE” series, will be released on August 5. YG’s official blog has also posted a teaser image of GD&TOP. The image shows the back of G-DRAGON and T.O.P who will perform as a unit team for the first time in five years.
BIG BANG has been releasing a single of their comeback series from May on the 1st of every month. However, for this August, the date is the 5th of the month. The reason behind that is because BIG BANG is now out of Korea for their world tour and August 1 is Saturday.
YG Entertainment explains, “Every new release of ‘MADE’ series has been live-broadcasted for countdown with fans. However, August 1st is Saturday and the members will be doing world tour at that time. So we inevitably changed the date.” So, the reason behind the changed date is because BIG BANG members wanted to count-down the new release with fans.
For “E” album, not all the team members but G-Dragon and T.O.P will release a new song. It is the first time for the two to perform as a unit team in five years since 2010. Fans’ expectations are rising for the synergy to be created by the two.
BIG BANG has been sweeping the No.1 on music charts from May 1 this year, with their comeback project “MADE” series. “M”’s “LOSER” and “BAE BAE” dominated top places on charts for a long time and “A”’s “BANG BANG BANG” and “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” followed the footsteps to gain a big success. In July when the rainy season began, sentimental song “IF YOU” and cool and exciting song “SOBER” took the No.1 in TV music shows without any TV performance, showing a great potential.

BIG BANG TO UNVEIL ‘DOPE’ WITH FANS THROUGH LIVE BROADCASTING APP
Big Bang will meet with their fans through Naver’s real-time broadcasting app, V app. Fans will be able to meet with top K-pop artists through the app, and Big Bang will make an appearance on August 4.
Big Bang’s ‘MADE’ series singles have been shaking the music world since May. The group has been releasing a new single on the first of each month. However, Big Bang revealed their plan to release their last single “E” on August 5 and the news stirred curiosity among fans who have been waiting for the release of “E” for a long time.
“Big Bang will return to Korea early August from their world tour, and the members expressed their desire to meet with their fans on August 4 before releasing the new single,” explained YG Entertainment.
YG Entertainment also released a teaser image of “E” on July 24 and received hot responses. The image shows Big Bang’s subunit GD & T.O.P along with the phrase “Dope/It’s Awesome.” As it has been 5 long years since the subunit released their last track “High High,” anticipation is rising for the release of “Dope/It’s Awesome.”
Big Bang is currently on world tour and will meet with their fans in Malaysia on July 25.
