SHINee’s fan event stops because over a thousand fans swarm

SHINee met a perplexing situation. As too many fans suddenly swarmed over their secret fan event, it was stopped by the local police.
Sankei Sports reported on December 8 that SHINee’s fan event was stopped by the police. SHINee was going to open a secret event to celebrate the release of their new album The First in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 7.
This event wasn’t previously announced but only spread some leaflets that wrote, “Look for a group of five Santa Clauses that starts with S” near JR Shibuya station. However, around a thousand fans swarmed over and crowded the place.
About 30 minutes before the event was started, the local police stopped the event. It was the order from Shibuya police station that the event needs to be stopped because there is risk of an accident as the place is crowded without a previous notice.
SHINee eventually stopped the event and moved to an underground parking lot nearby. SHINee’s Key expressed his depressed feeling by saying, “We’re sorry that we can’t see you today,” and Jong Hyun said, “We want to repay your love through a fan event (in Tokyo International Forum) on December 24.”

2PM successfully hold their first arena tour in Japan

2PM announced a successful start of their first arena tour in Japan.
According to an announcement by JYP Entertainment, 2PM’s agency, on the December 8, they had an exclusive concert under the title of “Republic of 2PM” in Osaka Osaka-jo Hall in Japan on December 5 and 6 as the first concert of their arena tour. Arena tour in Japan indicates a group of concert held in large concert halls that can accommodate over 10,000 people for each concert.
In this Osaka concert, over 20,000 audiences for two days attended and enjoyed 2PM’s performances.
JYP Entertainment says, “2PM is holding total 9 arena tour concerts in 6 different locations in Japan to celebrate the release of their first full-length album Republic of 2PM on November 30. It is expected to attract over 100,000 audiences as all tickets for every concert is sold out within a minute.”
Along with the start of 2PM’s arena tour, 2PM’s official fan club “Hottest Japan” was also organized. Many people stood in the endless line to join the fan club at the concert.
2PM is holding next concerts in Nagoya on December 8, Saitama on December 14, Fukuoka on December 17-18, and in the Nippon Budokan, Tokyo on December 20-21.

Lee Si Young looks cute with a perm on ‘Wild Romance’

Actress Lee Si Young recently had her hair permed for the TV series, Wild Romance.
On December 8, the production company GnG Production for KBS’s series Wild Romance released pictures of Lee Dong Wook and Lee.
The series is a romantic comedy about a girl named Eun Jae (played by Lee Si Young), who has to guard a famous baseball player named Moo Yeol (played by Lee Dong Wook).
In the pictures, the two stars are making a bet and competing against each other at the Han river. Lee Si Young’s short curly hair drew a lot of attention. The series will start airing on January 4 next year after the currently airing series Glory Jae In.

Super Junior and SHINee put their names on the Oricon top ten single/album chart

The Oricon Chart, the most renowned Japanese music chart, showed on December 8 that Super Junior’s second Japanese single, “Mr. Simple,” released on December 7, vaulted to the first place on the Daily Single Chart on the same day of its release. Considering that the leading group of the Korean Wave has yet settled down to the advancement into Japan, it can be viewed satisfactory. Super Junior’s first Japanese single, “Bonamana,” released in June this year, climbed to the second position on the Daily Oricon Chart.
The power of K-pop singers was also reflected in the Oricon Album Chart.
SHINee released its first Japanese regular album, The First, on December 7, vaulting to the third position on the Oricon Daily Album Chart without any hesitation. SHINee’s second single “Juliet,” released at the end of August this year, also ranked top on the Oricon Daily Album Chart. These records well reflect how popular they are in Japan these days.
Kara, a representative Korean girl group which carries out passionate activities in Japan, is still remaining on higher positions of the Oricon Daily Album Chart with its new Japanese regular album, Super Girl. When the album was released on November 23, the album immediately took the first position of the same chart.
On the December 8 chart, six Korean singer groups were included among top ten best singles and albums.

Jung Woo Sung and Kim Beom are like bread and butter
















The first episode of JTBC’s Monday-Tuesday series, Padam Padam… His and Her Heartbeat Sound, successfully aired and Jung Woo Sung and Kim Beom’s roles drew a lot of attention.
Kang Chil (played by Jung) and Kook Soo (played by Kim) met when they were in prison and became best friends even after they were released from prison.
Kook Soo thinks that he is Kang Chil’s  guardian angel so he starts living with him at Kang Chil’s house in Tongyeong.
Kook Soo will always be with Kang Chil to help him experience miracles, like falling in love with a girl. Kang Chil pretends like that he doesn’t want to be with Kook Soo, but he actually worries about Kook Soo, in that he might become unhappy because of him. Their deep and emotional friendship will make the audience cry.
Kang Chil, who was sentenced to death, experienced the first miracle by coming back to life. Since the premise of the series revolves around the experience of two more miracles in the series, many people are eagerly anticipating the story.

Big Bang wins “Best Worldwide Act” at MTV’s 2011 Europe Music Awards



The 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards aired today live from Belfast’s Odyssey Arena.  Aside from mega-superstars Katy PerryLady GagaLMFAO,  and Coldplay,  five member band, Big Bang, attended as they were nominated in the Worldwide Act category.
Big Bang stunned audiences by winning the award just moments ago. The Worldwide Act category celebrates diversity and the breadth of all the music that MTV has to offer by nominating incredible artists from all corners of the world.
There were two rounds of voting.  First, each region had an opportunity to vote among MTVs choices for the seven artists that best represent the region.  In the Asia Pacific category, in addition to Big Bang,Exile (Japan), Jay Chou (Republic of China/Taiwan), Gotye (Australia), Sia (Australia), Jane Zhang(China), and Agnes Monica (Indonesia) were nominated.
After weeks of voting  Big Bang won for the Asia Pacific region and advanced to the finals along with Abdelfattah Grini (Africa/India/Middle East), Lena (Europe), Restart (Latin America), and Britney Spears (North America).Due an impressive amount of voting by VIPs and fans all over the world, Big Bang won the coveted award.  They will have the honor of being the first ‘Worldwide Act’ award recipients.
